Animal stories on the stoop

A dolphin trainer,  animal communicator, wildlife rehabilitator,  horse trainer, high school teacher, journalist and rat fisherman are among those taking part in the latest in the Stoop Stories series, presented tonight at Centerstage in Baltimore.

In its latest installment, Stoop Stories presents, “Animal Tales: Stories about pets, strays, mutts, and other beasts of burden.” Tonight’s show is sold out.

Seven storytellers will have seven minutes each to talk about the pleasures and pain of life among creatures.

The storytellers will be Beth Manning, dolphin trainer; Terri Diener, animal communicator; Corinne Parks, animal rehabilitator; Alan Rosenberg, a high school teacher, Patrick Smithwick, horse trainer; Chuck Ochlech, of the Baltimore Association of Rat Fisherman; and John Woestendiek, journalist/ohmidog! editor/me.

The music (Caleb Stine and the Brakemen) starts at 7 p.m. The stories start at 8 p.m.
