You know what resonated with me, Eighteenpaws? His concept of "energy" in terms of the "energy" you express to your dog. I've been fond of Pit Bulls for years, but I've often said that I probably won't ever have one. It's because I'm either lazy or laid back, depending on your viewpoint. It would just wear me out to provide the physical exercise and the mental discipline that the Pit needs to be healthy, happy, and productive. I'm glad I know that about myself. Cesar really has a lot to say about matching up your personality, or your "energy level" with that of your dog for a happy relationship.

I watch his showes often despite that his methods are often contrary to how I believe dogs should be raised and trained, but I agree with Anne. Cesar's life story is touching and inspiring, and I do believe that he truly loves the animals. I think that he is especially important for newer pet owners who really don't have the experience nor instinct to properly raise their pets. I am definitely not aligned with implementing "perfect manners" among dogs, but I do derive insight and fortitude from some of Cesar's coachings. Good for him in fulfilling his personal dream in becoming a U.S. citizen!

I may not always agree 100 percent with his methods, but I have read "Cesar's Way." Cesar Millan certainly does embody the old-fashioned American dream of hard work, diligence, and perseverance. I'm delighted he's become a citizen. We can always use another American dog-lover.
