I love pitts they are so smart and definatley loving. I have a rednose/brendal male pitt 6 months old and a 4 year old brendal female pitt. Very well behaved great around my kids and other people as well as other animals. Responsibility lies with the owners and being that pitts are one of the most loyal dogs in the world they live to please their owners. Any dogs can be vicious depending on the owner so it cant be the entire breed itself because it doesnt make any sense what so ever.

I own the sweetest , most well behaved pitbull. It is completely unfair that I must retain an insurance policy to own a dog that has never shown the first sign of aggression toward a human or any other animal. It is the law so I abide. UNFAIR!!

To Michael, that is horrible that you, your fiancee and neighbor had such an awful experience with one dog. Please remember, that’s exactly what it was; a bad experience with one dog. If I were attacked in the night by a psychotic person who was a particular race, for example, that does not mean the entire race is bad. That one person most definitely would be though.

I cannot say enough how THRILLED I am to see this as even a remote possibility. My Annabelle is mostly pitt and the vet isn’t sure what else she is mixed with. I adopted her when she was 2 months old. She is 7 now. I am 30 years old and live with her in a townhouse and have epilepsy. A few years ago, she started climbing in my lap and nuzzling my neck out of nowhere and sure enough, 5 minutes later, I would have a seizure. One time I woke up at the top of my steps from an apparent seizure and she was in my arms. She literally may very well have saved my life that day. She lets my 3 year old nephew pull her hair out. She loves kids, people, other dogs, cats, is extremely affectionate and submissive and does not run off. So long as they are socialized from a young age and raised knowing who their pack leader is, pitbulls make wonderful family dogs.

this message is for michael there is nothing wrong with the pitbull breed i have a tuxedo pit and blue and 2 year old son and another on the way and they have not done nothing but give my son kisses and who’s to say that dog could of been a collie or something don’t hate on the breed for bad owners!!!! And i think the lucas county dog warden needs put down like he did to all them pit bulls!!!!!!!!!!

I have had American Pit Bull terriers, Reds and a brindle. We no longer have them as it was a long time ago, but we now have a black gotti/red nose pit bull puppy. They are the FUNNIEST, GOOFIEST, LOVEABLE dogs! My kids would try to ride them, they would get their ears pulled and tails, they are also the SMARTEST dogs I have evr owned. Our puppy is 6 weeks, shes already sitting on command, she also sits in front of the door when she has to go potty. It took me TEN MINUTES to have her sitting on command. TEN MINUTES. Why are our dogs so GREAT? because we are RESPONSIBLE dog owners, not just pit bull owners, DOG owners. We had a jack russel years ago, and he was a biter, raised around our children since 8 weeks old, but grew up into a little brat but he bit my friend on the foot in our yard when she came in. ANY DOG IS CAPABLE OF BITING OR ATTACKING! its BAD OWNERS that make this breed look bad. I have also seen fighting dogs who have been confiscated by law enforcement, they are GRAET with people, just not other dogs, but it wasnt their fault. The Pit Bull Terrier was ORIGINALLY bred for hunting big game, like bears. They are a strong, beautiful, intelligent FAMILY DOG, but yes it takes dedication to raise them, they NEED loving disciplin, they can be stubborn. I clap my hands real loud and say NO in a loud stern voice when our dogs do something as small as bark at the cats, just to remind them of whos in charge. DONT JUDGE THIS BREED, id choose a pit bull over a lab or golden any day of the week.

I live in Parma Ohio <3 My pitties and I'm tired of hiding them and only walking them very early in the morning or very late at night just to avoid wrongful breed discrimination. My neighbors love my dogs and my 1.5 yr old daughter loves them. They're just like any other family dogs.

My fiance was savagely attacked in our garage on June 1st by a pitbull. The same dog attacked another woman walking her dog, crushing her kneecap and causing $40000 dollars worth of medical bills. The owners claim the dog wasn’t theirs and just “stayed” at their house. This breed is a ticking time bomb and needs owtlawed!

I am the proud owner of my 3rd pit, and he is so sweet and lovable at only 9wks old. I had my other 2 for 13yrs and 10yrs and they were the best most loyal dogs they loved everyone but babies were their favorite. My 6yr old son has been around more pits then any other dogs and none of them ever harmed one hair on him. I hope Ohio lifts its narrow minded law regarding these awesome dogs. As for that idiot Dog warden in Lucas County I say we ban him, and with beliefs like his I say he has the wrong job.

I have a pitt the smartest most loving dog ever I also have 7 cats that he just sniffs and they rub on him daily. And he has to talk to all the neighbors and their dogs . Hes funny caring and the biggest lap dog. he thinks hes a pomaranian
