When our boys were toddlers and Molly was the boss dog, we had a stormy and rainy Easter weekend. Greg and I carefully hid a dozen hard-boiled decorated eggs in the house for them to find Easter morning. We got into bed, turned out the light, and heard from downstairs a faint but clear "CRUNCH" followed by another and another before we could get down there. Yep, she found and ate more than half of them. Didn't seem to do any harm, though she pooped colored eggshell bits for days. This brought back a memory I’d forgotten about for years.
