Parents should NEVER let little kids or unattended kids in general alone with animals. My parents did the same, and I have horrible regrets on the stupid, cruel, or lethal things we did as tiny kids, guilt that will last a lifetime and makes me heartsick. We absolutely did NOT have the empathy or knowledge that we have now as mature adults. Yes, there were times we’d get caught, and we’d swear we’d stop, but the minute the parents’ backs were turned, we’d be naughty again.
There’s no excuse for it, unattended kids do not need to be around fragile, dependent animals.
Really, the puppy should’ve been taken away.

I m shocked at this woman. I’d like to register a complaint, on so many counts. She shouldn’t have separated the week old pup from the mum & littermates this young. She should NOT have left a pup unattended with a 4 yr old child. The pup shouldn’t have been in the garden getting muddy. She should be banned from keeping pets and so on. Any ideas where I can complain?

Where is the pup’s mom? Does the family have **groan** the mom and litter? Surely he/she has not been separated from mom.

I would be surprised if the RSPCA isn’t giving this a hard look, and papers there do scold and shame people. But for the moment, everyone must be very relieved that the puppy survived this nightmare at all.

A 40 year old mother of 7??? Did I read that right? Jeez, maybe no pets would be a better idea since she didn’t notice the puppy was gone for an hour.

Check out the original video–the child’s handling of the puppy–made me cringe! These kids are too young to be trusted. And the mother says “accidently flushed”…

I have a real problem with parents leaving 4 year old kids alone with a puppy. Also, week old? how can that be?

What was a one-week old puppy doing outside to get muddy in the first place?
Why were young children left in charge of a puppy this young without adult supervision?
A puppy of this age shouldn’t be away from it’s mother at all
The children’s mother should get a stiff talking to from the RSPCA

…and I expect to hear via PR release that the”Flush Puppies” product to bag doggie doo regrets what happened to the puppy and does not encourage actually flushing puppies. In order to clarify the matter they will affix a new warning label to their packaging…
