In another life, in another state, I was for several years part of a small, dedicated &quot;rescue ninjas for animals&quot; squad. Sometimes local laws and humane societies just cannot or will not intercede in what is clearly animal abuse or wretched neglect. Every dog or pup saved and then adopted into safe homes far away was a victory. I recall every single, sometime daring and law-defying rescue as if it occurred yesterday. I still hear from many of the dogs&#039; adopting parents. These activities are actually more common throughout the U.S. than most people are aware. I hope that this series educates well. Thanks for the heads-up.</description>
