YEs the book is Called the lost dogs by jim gorant he also wrote the article in the sports illustrated magazine and yes the book talks not just about jasmine but about the case of the vick dogs(bad newz kennelz) how tthey were evaluated and their nex life. it tells the tales of leo aka bouncer johnny justice aka johnny rotten and sweet jasmine aka the angel

Theres a book about it. Sweet Jasmine was really shy and the man Catalina had left her with she was comfortable with. he had a dog too. when they went on a walk when catalina had gone to croatia with her husbad and children. his dog stepped in some glass so he focused on his dog. Sweet jasmine had only wandered of a little and was not knowing of the fact that she wasnt on leash. before he could stop her sweet jasmine was off. he went and searched for her for so long. soon enough he went back home eager to try to find jasmine in the morning. he was called the next day that Sweet Jasmine had been killed by a car. When catatlina got the call she came home write away.
A kind man painted a picture of Sweet Jasmine for Catalina. so catalina hung it in her daughters room. they put little butterflies around it. This was Sweet Jasmine’s memorial.
a few weeks later catalina spotted a bird it was sing ing the song that she used to sing to sweet jasmine. it was a sign. like she had done when her grandmother died catalina got a tatto this time in the shape of a bird. Sweet Jasmine the Bird.

I’m reading “The lost dogs” right now, where Jasmine is just starting to come into herself when I decided to do a search online to track her progress..very say to learn she’d passed. Maybe something frightened her and she had a bad memory of something from her past and she bolted.. if there’s blame place it where it belongs..at Vicks doorstop…R.I.P sweet Jasmine..my condolences to her family and thank you for helping her and countless others…

Jasmine was not neglected, her owner spent weeks before she left the country with family to make sure the jasmine was with someone she could trust and so could jasmine. Poor jasmine would only come to her owner and the person who was watching her let go of her leash for a second and when he asked her to come back she ran. I followed jasmines story all through the book and cried so much when I red what happened. Especially with what happened to the little red dog. Jasmine touched me the most of any dogs in the story and every time I think about her I cry.

Oh,that poor sweet baby to survive such horrors only to have life snuffed out in an instant. Rest in peace, little angel <3 I know your foster mommy and daddy are heartbroken. It was nobodys fault but just a terrible, sad thing. G-dspeedover the Rainbow Bridge little love.

To those who spoke up about how accidents happen- thank you. My dog got out when I wasn’t home and was hit by a car. I feel so guilty. My sister said this- “accidents are the worst because there is nothing to learn by them and everyone feels awful.” I loved my dog and while I have no interest in getting a new one- it hurts me terribly to see people judge others for accidents.

jasmine touched so many people with her strenght and courage. what a tragic ending to her life. thank god she was loved and had a wonderful life during her final days.
