Making changes to daft laws without fully consideration of its impact. Under controlled use these collars are a god send, it can prevent the death in some cases through this sort of training. Yes, several years ago, I strapped one to my own neck and walked thru one of those commercially prominent fence-less boundaries. I am not a wuss and can usually withstand a lot of pain -- but I truly felt as though someone had shot me straight thru the neck with a burning arrow. I would never want to subject any animal to such a shock even once! I challenge every animal owner to FIRST try out their mechanism on themselves, or on their children, or on their mother, and then decide whether it is appropriate for their pets.
