		<description>I agree, bluhawkk - with the addition of liberal use of a choke chain AND a pinch collar.

I really wish that District Attorneys and assorted prosecutors would read these blogs and forums and do a little self-education about what the public REALLY wants to see in prosecution and punishment for these animal cruelty crimes. I don&#039;t think a lot of them got the memo (or if they did maybe they just didn&#039;t care) that people who torture animals move on to humans.

I firmly believe two things would be effective in reducing animal cruelty: &quot;eye for an eye&quot; and a LOT of public shame. The early colonists had a wonderful crime prevention device called stocks and pillory and the criminal had to endure public shaming and spite. Very effective, that nonlethal but painful punishment - punishment not only with physical discomfort and inconvenience but strong emotional pain which may be even more effective - scratch that, IS more effective - than a mere wrist slap.</description>
