Gee, I commend the entrepreneurial spirit, but these gadgets have been around for yonks. I clearly remember as a youngster that our girls had special pants to wear when in heat. They had to come off when the dog was answering Nature's call, but they worked just fine and allowed the gals to be in the human part of the house without messing up the furniture or carpets. The trick is to keep the pants on until the dog is ready to go, keep her on a leash, and take a water pistol along on walks. A squirt from the pistol and a stern "You get away from her!" generally does the trick. Or if she is small, you can carry her to the place where she takes care of business. It's only a few days twice a year, and people who can't or won't exercise some due diligence should get their dogs spayed--which they probably should do anyway. If this sort of thing is of interest, check out pantsfordogs.com, where you will find cummerbunds for the boys, panties for the girls, and soft versions of those plastic "elizabethan collars" they have to wear when they've got ear or head injuries. The products are a real help for dogs who are ill, very old, or incontinent as well as for ladies at "that time of the year."
