Reconsidering my stance on debarking

Up until now, I’ve been pretty much against debarking — a surgical procedure whose proponents like to call it “bark softening.”

But this video makes me realize that, possibly, in some cases, it may be justified.

Wow. A shot at Glenn Beck. How original.

Well, John, you may be right. I had been thinking in terms of a muzzle, but maybe de-barking would be a better approach. On the other hand, de-barking does not protect against rabies–always a problem with Mr. Beck.

Hahahaha! I appreciate your humor, and agree…I’m sooo bored with stupid.

one reason i really liked reading this blog is because of how non-political it was. it focused on the issues related to dogs and dog ownership, and was one of my favorite animal blogs. rescue stories, funny videos, informative news, and city BSL cases. but this? out of nowhere? wow. i guess i was wrong.

yeah, glenn beck is a loudmouth and kind of obnoxious sometimes, but does it warrant the advocacy of “debarking” him?

too bad. another excellent blog that couldn’t keep it on topic. i’ve read daily for about a year, but not anymore.

did glenn beck say something on his show to bash ohmidog!? what did he deserve to warrant a personal attack like advocating “debarking”?

maybe you should step back and try not to alienate your audience the way you did. you may not agree with glenn beck, but you probably have some readers who at least feel similar ways he does about national issues. being an animal advocate/friend/parent doesn’t automatically align you with a certain political ideology.

anyway, so long, ohmidog!, it’s been a good year.

Laura: I feel the same way. Will not read the blog any longer.
