I would like to enroll in a RVT program but they perform 'terminal surgery' on rats, which I find equally abhorrent, placing me in an extreme ethical dilemma. It's a shame that the very people who enter into a profession out of a compassion for animals are forced to treat them like disposable tools. Hopefully one day all schools will move toward alternate models! Great news!
