I wish we could abolish this kind of "training." Outside of the law enforcement or military arenas, there's something sinister about it.

So sad for this handsome dog. "Military-style training?" I too had a shepherd like this once when I was very young. It took literally a couple years of re-training before "Zorro" was an amiable, curious, delightful companion again. He never was 100% sociable, but he was our kin and protector. These companies that train aggression for not "official" purposes but for every whimsical Hollywood star, NFL or NBA name, every local I-am-your-feisty-neighbor...or drug dealer....well, we just gotta make the case LOUD and clear that this is unacceptable and animal abuse at best that also endangers regular humans. My dogs bark like crazy at the slightest sound or adverse sight. Superior watchdogs, yes, but they would never attack or maim a human. That's what you need. Bark, growl, posture, threaten. Scares just about everybody.
