@Sue, no you sre not alone in your thought. Hip displasia in golden retrievers and other breeds is not uncommon.

The Haley-bear, a “spinner” (always in the clockwise direction), ‘dances’ when she’s extremely happy, such as at dinner time. She somehow manages to twirl her little body around a single point located directly under her tummy while simultaneously keeping her right front paw in the air. I call it her “Happy Dance”, and it has to be seen to be believed. Always makes me smile though…

I’ve seen this and marveled. Amazing! Am I the only one who wondered about the affect this has on the dog’s spine and joints?
