Family’s Siberian husky found hung
A Tennessee family returned home to find their 10-month-old Siberian husy hanging from a tree last week.
The dog, named Allison, who they left on a 50-foot chain, was found by Juanita Phariss’s 18-year-old daughter, Emily, at their home in Smyrna.
The dog’s chain was wrapped around a tree five times, and she’d apparently been hoisted up, with the chain being attached to the fence, the Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro reported.
”I untied her collar to get her down before my younger kids could see her,” said Phariss, wo’s 14-year-old daughter, Amanda, has cystic fibrosis.
“It’s been really hard on her, especially,” Phariss said. “She doesn’t even want anybody mentioning Allison’s name. She made a cross for her grave out back.”
Phariss said the chain disappeared from her yard between the time she called the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and deputies arrived.
Anyone with information in the case are urged to call the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office at 615-898-7770.

At the risk of sounding heartless, that’s one more real good reason not to leave your dog chained in the backyard.
That said, I hope they catch the creep(s) that did this, and throw the book at him / them.

Huskies can be hard to keep in a fenced yard. They have a track record for being escape artists. A yard is best but not always possible. People that want to do bad thing like this however don’t let something like a gate or fence stop them. If they had the foresight to go back for the murder weapon they would have had no problem jumping a fence to do the deed. I think the punishment should fit the crime. I’ve always been fond of the old testament eye for an eye. Sorry if you don’t agree.
If the family reads this I’m very sorry for your loss. There is a beautiful poem for your daughter to read when she is ready. To find it just google THE RAINBOW BRIDGE.

It had to be someone close if they removed the chain. Someone knew this family and wanted to hurt them. I would be looking at that. Just the removal of the chain means someone was waiting. Sick !
