Woof in Advertising: Dog left in car
My Norwegian is a little rusty, so I can’t tell you much more than that this is an advertisement for an insurance company called Tryg in Norway.
I’m not sure if its message is don’t leave your dog in the car because it could die, or don’t leave your dog in the car because your window might get broken, or, you wouldn’t need to worry about your window getting broken if you have insurance.
Whichever it is, it still manages to make that first point, thanks to some fine acting by the dog in the starring role.
That’s Matisse, a four-year-old border collie who lives in Belgium. You can learn more about him, and the making of the commercial, in the video below.

I think I like the fact that it shows two people not afraid to help!

When you are safe, you can give safety to others.
Become safe you too, call etc.
The companies name is Tryg. Safe in Norwegian is trygg with 2 g’s instead of 1.
What the message is? I’m not sure. But if you are afraid of getting shot if you break the window, you are not likely to do anything. But if you think all will be ok, you save the dog. But I’m not a PR guy, so don’t take my word for it.

It is potent and made me cry.
Need an equivalent message/reminder for US dog owners.
I don’t like seeing dogs trained to stand on hind legs to strut or bounce.
And unlike Berry and Porridge, lets hope the next ‘Lassie’ will be fully cared for in his old age when he is no longer generating revenue.
