This was an awesome event. We had over 60 pitbulls. It was exciting to walk our dogs and see how many people really love this breed. Thanks everyone!

I do not personally own a pit bull but I am the owner of 2 very large Labrador Retrievers! And my husband & I have been discussing adopting a pit bull to add to our family! These poor dogs cannot be blamed for something that they were "Taught by Humans" to do! Too many times, u see these beautiful dogs being beaten or taught to be super aggressive. I actually met someone that fed their own pit bull raw red meat! They told me that it would make them "like" the taste of blood! Do u think that same person was SURPRISED when that same dog ended up being euthanized by its owner Because the dog bit their son's hand?! Dah! What did they really think was going to happen! I would never feed my Labradors raw red meat! I definitely wouldn't eat that, so why would I feed it to my dogs? Think people! Use the brains that God gave us! Treat Pitt Bulls the same way God wants us to treat any other dog! Love them &protect them! They will give u that same love & respect in return! I do NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A BREED ISSUE! IT'S A PEOPLE ISSUE! DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE MURDER RATE IN BALTIMORE? HELLO PEOPLE! USE YOUR BRAINS!

Animals entwined in our lives teach us compassion and empathy. These true traits seem so far removed from today's politics and venues. Just love the little things like this, this small boy with such insight. And of course, you reporting it! Makes me want to adopt the affected dogs....but for sure makes me want to adopt this boy! Thanks for this tale....And please tell us what Ace is up to!

"but it had to happen,” Wrinn said." Perhaps I missed the factual recitation which would support this premise. Really? The dog "had to die"? Why? According to the Chief's apology the department fail dot adhere to policies and if that is the case then it is clear that had they followed the policies the officers would NOT have shot the dog . So in reality the dog did NOT have to die from a logistical standpoint.

Wayne is a walking, talking BS machine. The $43 million in grants to other animal organizations are almost entirely to HSUS controlled affiliates like Humane Society International and to HSUS controlled PACs.

Rick Berman is a pauper compared to Wayne's mentor, former HSUS CEO and disgraced televangelist Rev. Paul Irwin, who used donor money to buy five mansions and a fleet of luxury cars. HSUS was forced to pay back $750,000 Irwin stole from the Humane Society of Canada. He was finally exposed in a New York Times article that explored his ties to convicted money launderers and porno kingpins. Irwin recruited Pacelle because he knew that, in Wayne's hands, HSUS would never change it's financial and fundraising practices. It has - for the worse. Cleveland Amory despised Paul Irwin's HSUS and grew disgusted with Wayne's relentless drive for attention, credit and power. When Irwin poached Pacelle from the Fund for Animals, Amory said it was for the best.

First thing that NEEDS DESPERATELY to happen is to get rid of PLEA BARGAINING all the plea bargain is designed to do is save the court system money - but the actual reality is it lets monsters like this back out on the streets to do it again. I hope the kidnapping and domestic violence charges are under a separate criminal case from the animal abuse - if so and he is convicted hopefully the judge will make the sentences consecutive instead of concurrent.

Failing that maybe we just need to adopt the best part of the Code of Hammurabi (ancient codified laws from biblical times) - the part that demands "eye for an eye." In short, do to him what he did to the dogs. Right down to the pelt and eyeballs in a jar.
